Is Ember free?+
Ember is free to explore right now. A simple monthly membership is coming soon to support the library and keep it growing — we’ll let you know in the app before anything changes, and every book will stay exactly where it is.
Do I need an account?+
No. Tap Continue as guest and everything works. An account is optional — it just lets you save your place and sync across devices.
How do I listen to a book?+
Open any book, then tap Listen to stream the narrated audio, or Read aloud to have your device read the text to you.
What is Kids Mode?+
A switch in Profile that hides mature titles, so younger listeners only see family-friendly books. Turn it on or off anytime.
Can I listen offline?+
Streaming the audio needs an internet connection. Offline downloads are a planned Premium feature. Once Ember is added to your home screen, the app itself still opens offline.
Where do the books come from? Are they legal?+
Yes, completely. Every title is a public-domain classic from the LibriVox and Internet Archive communities — legally available for everyone to enjoy and share.
How do I delete my account or data?+
Email legitpreneurs@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my Ember account.” We remove your data within 30 days. Full steps are on our deletion page.
